Robert Parker :
"The 2005 Chateauneuf du Pape is impressive. If this gets in the bottle without too much clarification, this wine should turn out to be outstanding.
Impressively packed with loads of black raspberries, sweet cherries, and licorice notes along with a hint of balsam wood, this full-bodied wine has admirable purity, ripeness, and overall balance.
Beautiful symmetry and purity result in a real sleeper of the vintage that has impressive length and ripeness. Proprietor Coralie Goumarre produces the wine at this estate in the northern sector of Chateauneuf du Pape near the village of Courthezon. "
CHATEAUNEUF DU PAPE RED :
Grenache enrichied with Mourvedre, planted in pebbly chalk-clay soils.
Yields : 28 hl/ha
The nose is exotic, mixture of candied fruit, scrubland, and spices. The mouth is ample and unctuous, balanced between freshness and aromatic persistence. A wine in all its finesse.
